   Mahogany Mates, founded in May 2025, is a dynamic social engagement community that uses visual cues to help like-minded singles 50+ meet and connect in person without relying on apps or swiping. The vibe, the brand, is old school, back to the days when meeting and falling in love was not enabled solely by impersonal technology.
2. Who is Mahogany Mates for?
   Mahogany Mates is for like-minded singles aged 50 and over who are available and want to meet and connect with other available singles in meaningful, in-person ways.
3. How does Mahogany Mates work?
   Mahogany Mates encourages singles aged 50 and over to ditch dating apps and go back to the good old days when they met and interacted in person. Wearing Mahogany Mates branded product helps identify singles as being open to connecting and finding somebody to go with. We create lists of curated events around the country where connections can take place. Singles wearing our branded products can also identify each other while being out and about conducting personal business. Singles wear Mahogany Mates gear as a visual cue to signal an openness to meeting someone new. We ask so you don’t have to!
4. Do I have to be single to join?
   Mahogany Mates is a community for those who are single, available, and genuinely interested in forming a relationship. We must remain authentic, transparent, and be a safe space for singles to come and know that the person wearing our branded gear is also single and ready to connect. We do not conduct background checks or confirm marital status, so we depend on the truth and honesty of individuals to only purchase and sport Mahogany Mates products if they are single, available, and open to connecting. Mahogany Mates cannot and does not guarantee that those wearing our gear are single and available.
5. Is Mahogany Mates only available in certain cities?
   While some events are location-specific, our digital engagement, merchandise, and interactive experiences are available to singles around the country and the world.
6. What does your tagline “Find somebody to go with” mean?
   It means finding a person to enjoy life’s moments with. Whether that’s a concert, a conversation, or simply being out together, it’s about shared joy and connection. The tagline is old school. People of a certain generation will immediately relate to it!

   Our branded merchandise acts as a subtle visual signal to let other singles know you’re part of the community and open to meeting and getting to know someone on a deep, possibly romantic level.    You can shop directly on the Mahogany Mates website. Most of the Mahogany Mates branded apparel and accessories are available to all visitors. For our members, called Mahogany Minglers, we offer limited-edition gear. Visit the Mahogany Mates product page and purchase gear that helps you let others know you’re single, available, and looking to find somebody to go with.
10. How long does product delivery take?
    Mahogany Mates product orders are received, processed, and fulfilled by a third party, Printful. Once the order is processed, customers receive a confirmation email from Printful with the tracking number. Customers can then track their order.

12. What kind of events does Mahogany Mates host?
    We are not an event production or management company. We curate and publicize event listings, including social mixers, themed gatherings, and exclusive experiences designed to help our singles meet and mingle. We may host signature Mahogany Mates events in the future.
13. Do I have to attend events to be a part of the Mahogany Mates community?
    No, you don’t! While events are great opportunities to connect with other singles who are part of the Mahogany Mates community, simply wearing your gear while out and about can spark conversations and connections.

Mahogany Mates Programs 

14. What is the “Midnight Mingle”?
    Midnight Mingle is a virtual mixer exclusively for Mahogany Mingle members. Hosted by the Mahogany Mates founders, this compelling late-night mingle is an unscripted, unfiltered exchange of dating-tips, experiences, and lessons to share. Mahogany Mingle is hosted inside our exclusive Mahogany Mingles Facebook Group. You must be a Mingles member to join the Group. The Group must have 100 members before Facebook will enable the Live feature. So Midnight Mingle will not launch until the Group hits the magic 100 members mark. Help us hit that number by spreading the word about Mahogany Mates!
15. What is “Mahogany Talks”?
    Mahogany Talks is a podcast where the Mahogany Mates founders and expert guests analyze and explore dating and love. It’s designed to inspire and uplift. Mahogany Talks is free and available to everyone.

17. Is there a Mahogany Mingler membership fee, and what is included?
    To join as a Mahogany Mingler, there is a membership fee. The monthly or annual subscription includes exclusive access to limited-edition apparel and accessories, select programming, the Mahogany Minglers Facebook Group, and other benefits. 18. Who are the founders of Mahogany Mates?
    Kim and Denise are the founders of Mahogany Mates. They are Black women over the age of 50 who are currently single. They live in the greater Boston, MA area. They met and bonded over their shared status of being Black, single, and wanting to find lasting true love.
